“A profound design process eventually makes the patron, the architect, and every occasional visitor in the building a slightly better human being. – Juhani Pallasmaa

Few hyperboles are inappropriate to describe LeBron James. He may be the most perfectly designed basketball player ever. James can take the worst of teams from the bottom of the standings, to the NBA finals. As an athlete, he is certainly a king, blessed with God’s undeniable favor. Playing basketball professional basketball is certainly his calling in life, and he has more than lived up to expectations.

James will embark on his sixth straight NBA finals, and unfortunately for James it will be another disappointment. Not because of his ability, James has unbelievable basketball talent, but because of his faith in himself.

James obstacle has been his greatest gift. In spite of all the circumstances, James can drag an organization kicking and screaming to the NBA finals. Which is incredible, the problem is when they reach the finals, they are still an organizations with flaws that even James can’t mask.

James may be built to win an NBA finals, but the Cavs from top to bottom are not.

David Griffin is not an empowered General Manager, James makes all the final roster decisions and everyone knows it. Even though the best player in the world interest, should be kept in mind when the franchises decides on major moves, Griffin should have the final say. The organization is designed for him to have the final say, and he doesn’t.

When it came time for David Blatt to exit the organization, it wasn’t because Griffin wanted to make the move, it was James decision. Tyronn Lue was already the highest paid assistant coach in the NBA under the first year head coach. This should have been a huge warning to Blatt that his time was going to be short in Cleveland. It wasn’t until James could no longer tolerate Blatt’s perceived incompetence, that Blatt was shown the door.

Apparently Lue wasn’t in favor of the move then it happened according to Chris Hayes at Cleveland.com.

“This is fucked up, Griff. Lue pleaded with Griffin, arguing for several minutes that firing Blatt was an excessive move for a team carrying a conference-best 30-11 record. Griffin listened to Lue’s pleas. When they ended, he told Lue the decision has already been carried out.”

Blatt was fired with a 30-11 record, the best in the Eastern Conference. Griffin gave big deals to players James supported like Tristan Thompson (which he should have), but James was involved.

“Things need to be worked out from his side and the Cavs but we need him back. He’s an important resource,” James told the Northeast Ohio Media Group.

James may be a great business man, but he shouldn’t and should not have to worry about players, roster development, and the coaching. His job is to play.

Not to forget about the roster, Kevin Love and Kyrie Irving are not exacly the cream of the crop. Irving and Love were not winners before James returned to Cleveland. Those two were stat sheet stuffers on bad teams. Irving best year as a solo artist with the Cavs, was a 33 win season in 2013-2014.

Love did only a little better, with a 40 win season as a member of the Timberwolves. Neither man could lift his team to the playoffs.

Now they are of course better with James, but they are not difference makers at winning time, Irving and Love don’t know how to. Those two only know how to keep up the on camera soap opera, which usually accompanies by a dysfunctional NBA franchise.

Even if James is right about everything, he is losing the war over the war for the Larry O’Brien trophy, before the games begins because he can’t focus on just playing.

During the 2012 NBA playoffs, when James was still looking for his first NBA championship, he decided he would stay off social media and began reading the Hunger Games. Not well known to the public is that James and the Miami Heat at the time were having a rocky relationship.

James in Cleveland had been used to preferential treatment, in regards to his family and friends. In Cleveland his family had preferential parking, could sit next to him on the bench, and James could even ride in different planes with his friends and family. Pat Riley put an end to all of that.

James family had to sit on the other side of the arena, and James had to use the team plane to travel. All of this was used by Riley to keep James as part of the team, and not an over empowered force… and it worked. James turned inward, and began to find an outlet, like reading, so he could focus on the game. James said so himself in Sports Illustrated.

“I think about a lot of shit,” James agrees. “Sometimes too much. But then I try to remember what I learned from the great Pat Riley: What is the main thing? Because the main thing has to be the main thing.”

James may believe the main thing in Cleveland is winning an NBA championship, but that’s not the case. He is far too concerned with the organizational duties and believes his talent can just take care of the rest. It won’t, because organizations win NBA championships not players.

Stephen Curry, does not worry about anything other than playing well. Does he worry about who the head coach is, or how his family travels? Nope he lets the people responsible do the job they have been assigned. Curry recognized Steve Kerr for putting together the staff that helped them win 73 games.

“I’ve enjoyed this year more than any other,” Curry said. “I think you’re a huge reason why we are here today, so thank you very much for being you and putting together this great staff that’s sitting over here.”

“We play for a first-class organization,” Curry said, “and you have to appreciate that. I love coming to work every day.”

That’s the reason the Warrior’s will become consecutive NBA champions, everyone in that organization plays apart in winning. That’s the way the Celtics, Spurs, Bulls, Lakers, and all the other great teams have done it. The players and the front office are exceptional at their jobs. The Cavs have one exceptional player, but it won’t be enough

American Voter’s need to look in the mirror at Hilary Clinton

Human Waste and Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump is not a reflection of so called “American Values”. He is not a manifestation of core American frustration with congress, or the non-establishment candidate voters have been clamoring for. Trump is the nuclear option, and Hilary Clinton should become the next president. If you have a problem with that, then you the voter or non-voter only have yourself to blame.

Trump is attractive for only a few substantive reasons.

Republicans and Democrats suck. The 112 and 113 Congress earned the distinction as the least productive in U.S. history.  Not to mention the inability for either side to compromise, and pass any meaningful legislation. Both parties are using, what has become tired rhetoric to justify not solving problems. Senator Clinton represents these problems far more then Trump does.

Clinton is being criticized by young conservative voters, for remaining married to former U.S. President Bill Clinton for political reasons. She also uses an accent when she travels through southern states, and she answers questions, in a very phony political way. For example, Clinton gave this answer in Kentucky, as to what role her husband will have in her administration.

“In charge of revitalizing the economy, because, you know, he knows how to do it, especially in places like coal country and inner cities”, Clinton said. It’s not as much the answer but how she delivered it that makes people cringe. Her body language reeks of over political congressman speech, which is followed usually by inaction.

Trumps, says he will deport Mexicans and build walls, and use nuclear weapons. While those ideas are repulsive, they are explicit, and sound nothing like the establishment party ideas. That’s what makes him so attractive, his willingness to be his awful self, unlike Clinton.

The things Trump says matches the actions people want to see.

If a voter is watching cable news, and buys into the constant narrative of terror, Trump makes sense. Everyday, the 24-hour news cycle panics the public which missing planes, and viruses. Not to mention the constant bickering, disguised as debate, between two individuals that make no point. If the TV news wants you to believe that Muslims are coming to kill Americans, and Trump talks about deporting all Muslims, then why wouldn’t people vote for Trump?

Democrats and Republican have allowed their party to be overrun by the 24 hour news media rhetoric. When that happens the party establishment shouldn’t be surprised when a candidate represents those ideas captures the attention of the media, as well as the viewers.

Trump is a nuclear option

The biggest reason voters like Trump is because they want to change the entire system overnight. It’s safe to say, not everyone is thrilled with the two candidates for president, but it’s not the party or the candidates fault. Voters and non-voters have refused to seriously engage in the voting process, on the state and national level. After decades of this process, more and more of the private party candidates have won elections, instead of the people’s choice.

Clinton not Trump is the face of what American voters really desire. For the party to select who they feel is most qualified, so voters don’t have to think at the polls.

If voters really want change, they should wait until 2020, so candidates from different parties can emerge. A Trump presidency will not fix any problems. Voters should look in the mirror, suck it up and get through the next four year.

Natalie’s Cakes and More in Starbucks

Do You believe in happy endings, Natalie DuBose sure does. Over a year after teenagers destroyed the windows of the store, DuBose business has been better than ever. Now she is even has her famous cakes in Starbucks.

November of 2014 was a difficult time, for the small business owners of Ferguson, Missouri. 18 buildings had been completely destroyed, and many others had extensive damage. Natalie’s Cakes and More, was one of those stores. Sales had already began to decline because of the turmoil in Ferguson, but when Natalie DuBose store windows had been destroyed by teenagers with a steel chair, that seemed to be a breaking point.

Now over a year later, DuBose cake store is doing better than ever, and it all started with a photo. A photographer, captured her reaction to the site of her store in shambles. Soon after, the picture went viral and DuBose received hundreds donations from around the country.

Many people began helping DuBose by buying her cakes. One of those people in particular just happen to share her treats on a plane with Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz. DuBose said a lady would just come by checking to see if she was okay.

“A lady that worked in Starbucks came by just checking on me”, DuBose said. “She would check on me every week, and each time she came, she brought one of her colleges she worked with. And somehow she ordered a cake for a friend of hers, and that cake was able to get on a plane with Howard Schultz.”

From that point, Starbuck’s set up a series of meetings with DuBose. She first met with the vice- president of the North American region of Starbucks. After that meeting, DuBose had another meeting with a different Starbucks executive. After a third and fourth meeting, DuBose was asked about selling her cakes in Starbucks.

“It wasn’t like one contact”, DuBose said. “I had many meetings with several people and it kind of came after that fourth meeting. Cause a lot of people think there’s a certain person you call, it was no one that I called, they were just coming in to check like every other person that heard about Ferguson.”

DuBose was already receiving thousands of donations to help repair her store. On November 25, of 2014, DuBose started two Go Fund Me accounts, and in less than 24 hours, she raised $100,000 in donations. Which should be no surprise, when you consider that Everybody Loves Raymond and The Middle star Patricia Heaton, personally tweeted out the Go Fund Me account, urging followers to donate.

The Go Fund Me accounts received a total of $280,000 and business is still booming for DeBose. DuBose is a divorced single mother who raised two children, can’t explain her good fortune.

“I get a lot of people asking me now, what is it that you have to do to get a Starbucks?”, DuBose said. “ I don’t know, like all the opportunities that have come my way. Not only are my cakes in Starbuck but my cakes  are in the Washington University campus. I sell my cakes to Schnucks grocery store… it wasn’t like I knew that magic question…these types of opportunities start falling in a domino effect.”

The Ferguson Starbucks is one of five locations that Starbucks is planning to open as part of an initiative, to bring down unemployment among youths in urban areas.

DuBose has seen her staff grow as well, going from a staff of three people to thirteen. She also has become a public speaker, speaking at  entrepreneurship class at Lindenwood University and to children at schools.

“All of these people, I didn’t reach out too”, DuBose said. “Someone from that group, that cooperation, they just knew somebody, and they were genuinely checking. I still get questions, I still get calls, letters, and cards, twitter inboxes.”

DuBose calls are people still checking up on her, making sure she is doing okay.

“I’m so in love with the people of this country”, DuBose said. “In this country, out this country, I don’t even know what to do. Because of their generosity, and genuine concern for people.

Its because of the people that have reached out that she can now live out her lifelong dreams, of baking goods for people. DuBose was baking while she was raising her kids, calling it therapeutic.

“What ever you are passionate about, do that”, DuBose said. “Whatever it is you want to do, no matter what opposition you face. Not only did I find my passion, but I’m able to live out my passion everyday. Whatever it is you want to do, keep doing it. What’s for you is for you, can’t no one else have what’s for you. ”

Commentary: Missouri House Advocates For Rapist

Missouri Republican State Representative, Tila Hubrecht, stood front and center in a Thursday press conference to explain why, bill HJR 98 would be on voters ballet in November.

Hubrecht along with bill sponsor Mike Moon (R-Ash Groove), also offered a explanation for the controversial comments on abortion, Hubrecht made earlier in the week.

Hubrecht believes God has plans for some women to become pregnant through rape, calling the pregnancy a silver lining.

“When God gives life he does so because there’s a reason, no matter what,” Hubrecht said. “Sometimes bad things happen, horrible things, but sometimes God can give us a silver lining through the birth of a child.” Because, yeah, rape sucks, but there’s nothing like nine months of living with your rapist’s baby growing inside you to help you get over it!”

Hubrecht, who has been serving District 151 since 2014, tried to back pedal on Thursday.

“The baby did nothing wrong, the woman did nothing wrong; the man who raped the woman is the one who done something wrong,” Hubrecht said. “More violence is not the answer to a rape.”

Not only are those comments in no way makes Hubrecht appear less foolish. Clearly the rep from Dexter, MO has no comprehension of her silver lining comments. By saying, ” God gives life”, justifies the rapist actions, using God’s authority.

Also by calling abortion violence, Hubrecht is criminalizing the rape victim.

Hubrecht has been on a personal mission to restrict abortion right across the state. In the 98th General Assembly, 1st Regular Session, Hebrecht sponsored seven bills. Six of those bills were connected to abortion rights.

It’s truly amazing that the voters of Dexter would allow someone so manic and disgusting, like Hubrecht, to represent them. Women like Hubrecht do however, destroy the stereotype that men are the ones activity restricting women’s rights.

Moon’s comment only made things worse, invoking the NAZI reference, while talking to the Kansas City Star.

“The silence of those who want to protect the unborn is similar to the silence of Germans who stood by and allowed Jewish people to be slaughtered by the Nazis”, Moon said.

“What this does is put Missouri in a position to be the most pro-life state in the country”, Moon said.

Moon also compared abortion to slavery, comparing the Dred Scott decision to Roe vs Wade. Moon is a crazy coward, along with the two other male members of the house. On Thursday, they took to hiding behind a self hating female, and ridiculous incoherent rhetoric, to disguise themselves from being labeled sexist. It didn’t work.

HJR 98 or the personhood bill,  will outlaw most forms of abortion in the state. Many states with abortion restrictions, allow for abortion in cases of; rape, incest, and life of the mother being endangered. If the bill passes, that will no longer be the case in Missouri.

The bill will also bans contraceptives, such as the pill, Plan B and IUD’s.

These idiots  are not smart enough to realize that this law will only make abortion more dangerous, not less likely. People are not going to stop having sex. If a unwanted pregnancy occurs, because its unwanted, the female will likely try to have an abortion.

A faster and safer way to stop abortion, is stopping people from getting pregnant. Providing contraceptives, sex-education and educating women is far more likely to stop abortion. Laws restricting abortion clinics and abortion services on encourage people to become more innovative, and that is the danger.

Voters in Missouri will have to decide on Novembers ballet whether, this Republican lead man hunt, on individual rights to make the best choices for themselves, will succeed.

Voters who want to advocate for the right to life should look to science, to create a male version of the pill. In most cases, males  can always impregnate a female. So why not limit the fertility of sperm? If Missouri can create the pill first, they can sell it as cereal and stimulate the economy .

Bills like this put all the blame for the unwanted pregnancy on females, by limiting their options.

As for the Hubrecht  and dumb sons, they have proven, that they can’t be trusted with expanding the rights of Missourians. They seem to forget not all Missourians are Christians and faith is a choice. Not something that should be forced upon others… you know like rape. Please Go Away!

Christians should not be aligning themselves on the same intellectual and moral side of rapist.
